ABOUT THIS PROJECT

As a national leader in forensic engineering and investigative services, Donan requires environments that reinforce precision, reliability, and agility. The Louisville office was envisioned as both an operational hub and a visible expression of the firm’s commitment to technical excellence. By situating their headquarters on a lakefront site, Donan established a workplace that balanced analytical rigor with spaces that encouraged collaboration and focus.

Luckett & Farley provided architecture, engineering, and interior design services for the 36,000-square-foot building. The project’s site design included parking, sidewalk connections, and a multi-level patio and deck overlooking the water, giving staff opportunities for informal connection and respite within a professional setting.

Inside, the workplace was organized to support both focused technical work and team consultation. Investigative staff could move seamlessly between data-intensive areas and shared spaces, allowing for quick decision-making without compromising accuracy. Infrastructure for specialized equipment and communications was integrated into the layout to reinforce Donan’s emphasis on technical rigor and responsiveness.

Civil engineering scope included site utilities, grading, and stormwater management to support the building and its lakefront setting. These systems were integrated to ensure reliable operations and protect the long-term functionality of the site.

At the time of completion, the Louisville office gave Donan a purpose-built environment that supported its investigative teams and reflected its reputation for technical rigor. The building provided space for collaboration, focus, and operational efficiency while strengthening the firm’s presence in its home city.
