About this project

Shawnee Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. and the rest shelter was constructed in 1915 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration of this historic structure includes an accessible entrance to the building, concrete, plaster and roofing restoration, a new restroom and site improvements such as new parking and a schematic plan for a picnic grove and playgrounds.
