About this project

At the time IUS had no student housing on campus, Luckett & Farley conducted a student housing study and later full architecture and engineering design services to establish appropriate site locations for an on-campus facility. The project included locating dormitory buildings, parking lots, pedestrian corridors, conceptual landscape design and site rendering. Additional student housing facilities will help to increase both enrollment and residential student life as a result.

Phase 1 consists of five separate buildings and a mixture of room configurations to total 403 beds. Currently under construction, Phase 2 will consist of nearly 90 beds and will be the first LEED project on campus. The buildings represent a lodge theme and oriented towards the existing lake.

The three buildings on the north side of campus form a quadrangle with a view of the lake.

This facility is LEED Silver certified.

“Luckett & Farley did a wonderful job pulling this project together. All of us at IU are proud of the result.”
