To enhance and invigorate the California neighborhood in Louisville, KY, The Bakery is being reimagined as a mixed-use development that brings new energy to an existing warehouse. The project is conceived as a catalyst for community life, blending everyday convenience with opportunities for connection and celebration.

The plan envisions a diverse program including a supermarket, public market, restaurants, office space, and a rooftop venue, together with open-air elements such as a park, coffee shop, and welcoming community gathering areas. By weaving these pieces into a cohesive whole, the design is intended to serve both the neighborhood’s daily needs and its desire for a lively destination.

Spanning 110,000 square feet with an estimated construction value of $20 million, The Bakery is a project in development and will continue to evolve as client priorities are refined.
