LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Luckett & Farley has hired noted campus architect William Maffett of Auburn University to serve as market director of its Higher Education Design Studio. Maffett will lead planning and design services for collegiate facilities at the Louisville-based architecture, interior design and engineering firm.

Since joining Auburn in 2013, Maffett led 24 capital projects and was responsible for more than 128 design and construction projects and studies in his roles as campus planner, space planner and campus architect. He melded Auburn’s established history and values with modern innovation for major projects like the renovation of Broun Hall and Davidson Pavilion, which won the American Institute of Architects Excellence in Design Honor Award.

Maffett is an Auburn alum with bachelor of architecture, master of business administration, master of science in information systems, and bachelor of science in business administration degrees. The fourth-generation architect previously ran his father’s Cookeville, Tenn. architecture and structural engineering business, Maffett-Bouton & Associates, for seven years.
