Racing's Keystone: A celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Twin Spires Anniversary

"And they're beautiful," says architect Aric Andrew, the present-day president of Luckett & Farley, the Louisville architecture firm that formerly operated as D.X. Murphy & Bro., the company that created the new grandstand in 1895. The Murphy firm not only landed the job but hired the right young man to design it: 24-year-old Joseph Baldez, who would be assuming his first lead role on a project.
