A Visionary Distillery Campus in the Heart of Kentucky

Saga Spirits Group is redefining the distillery experience with a groundbreaking $92.5 million development in Versailles, Kentucky. Blending tradition with innovation, this world-class whiskey campus embodies the company’s values, brand identity, and evolving consumer preferences.

Designed in collaboration with Luckett & Farley Architecture, Engineering & Interior Design, the 150-acre site will be a premier destination featuring a state-of-the-art distillery, an interactive visitor center, a tasting room, unique lodging, a restaurant, and retail and event spaces.

Enhancing the experience further, Saga Spirits is revitalizing The Kentucky Castle, an iconic hotel just four miles away, to ensure it remains a top destination for guests exploring the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and Keeneland Racecourse.

With a leadership team bringing over a century of expertise across distilling, finance, supply chain, marketing, packaging, and hospitality, Saga Spirits is poised to make a lasting impact on Kentucky’s rich bourbon heritage.

“At Saga Spirits, we believe whiskey creation is an evolving, living art form that must be nurtured and explored for future generations. By weaving together nature, architecture, and storytelling, we aim to create a destination that embodies the spirit of our brand and connects with whiskey lovers around the world.”

The Henderson Legacy: A Family Built on Whiskey and Innovation

Building on the legacy of his father, Lincoln Henderson, one of the most influential figures in American whiskey, Wes Henderson and his sons continue to shape the future of the industry. Their flagship brand, True Story, embodies the artistry of whiskey-making while creating a space for storytelling and connection.

This next chapter in the Henderson family’s journey reflects their passion for pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship while honoring the deep traditions of Kentucky bourbon.

Designing an Iconic Destination

Luckett & Farley is bringing the visionary master plan to life with a bold concept for the new distillery that will serve as the centerpiece of the experience.

Inspired by the rolling hills of Kentucky, the distillery’s design seamlessly integrates with the landscape, creating an immersive, sensory-rich experience. Crafted with natural materials such as earth, concrete, and stone, complemented by glass and metal, the architecture reflects Saga Spirits’ commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability. Water elements extend the form of the building into the surrounding landscape, inviting guests to explore the art of distillation in a way that is both innovative and awe-inspiring.

The kinetic facades of the distillery and bottling buildings provide dynamic shading, reinforcing the project’s dedication to environmental responsibility. Inside, a ramping circulation path guides visitors through an unfolding experience, culminating in panoramic views of the landscape and the homeplace, deepening the connection between nature, art, and whiskey making.

This is more than a distillery. It is a destination designed to inspire, engage, and honor Kentucky’s bourbon legacy.
