ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This task performed under an IDIQ AE design contract for Wright-Patterson AFB included design for the renovation of approximately 41,500 SF of space within Facility 30001, a historic 1920s building, for use by the Installation Acquisition Team (IAT), Enterprise Sourcing Group (ESG), a new organization being established at the base. The design included accommodations for secure source selection rooms, private offices, open office administrative support workspace, storage areas, conference rooms (including a 40 person organizational conference room), a large training area, and support space to accommodate a staff of 190.

The design solution included sustainable design features including energy efficient lighting and lighting controls, provisions for borrowed daylighting, and energy efficient HVAC mechanical, electrical, and communications systems. The task also included design for the renovation and reconfiguration/expansion of the restrooms adjacent to this space to meet the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Architectural Barriers Act, to serve the anticipated occupant load total, and to utilize low-flow fixtures for water conservation.

The design included considerations for the construction to be phased in order to facilitate the temporary housing of the initial “stand up” group during the first phase of construction. Luckett & Farley provided full AE services including architectural, interior design (SID and CID), structural, mechanical, electrical, and communications.

"Excellent job done under difficult conditions and time constraints. Mr. VanBogaert and crew were great. Thanks."
