Jessica Fisher is an Interior Architecture student at the University of Louisville. Previously, Jessica worked as a writer for fashion and lifestyle magazines after earning a degree in Philosophy and German Studies from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Jessica is a native of Tennessee, and has lived in Louisville for three years.
Jessica’s studies in Interior Architecture have included space planning, furniture design, art history, sculpture, fine art, hospitality design, design for special populations, and sustainable design. In addition to her classes, Jessica is an active student member of IIDA (International Interior Design Association), ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), USGBC (United States Green Building Council), and holds several leadership positions in student organizations.
Jessica plans to pursue a career in interior design, with a focus on creating sustainable, productive environments that are highly functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Jessica believes the goal of interior design is to create human environments that foster wellness, productivity, and creativity.
In an industry where the latest and greatest are always top of mind for clients, experience is still one of the most valued commodities to clients and employers.
