John Whitney is Luckett & Farley’s Market Director for Higher Education. He is a registered architect with over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of project development, design, management, and construction. Throughout his career his significant focus has always been on higher education, having designed large-scale projects for several Kentucky colleges and universities. John also has a focus on sustainable design and bringing sustainable energy projects to higher education campuses. Mr. Whitney’s engagement with education has been demonstrated by past his service to Morehead State University as University Architect, Spalding University as Architect-in-Residence, and the University of Kentucky College of Architecture as an adjunct assistant professor. Architecture is not only a job for John, but it is a passion, something John considers a hobby as well. Outside of the office, John’s hobbies include cooking and kayaking.
