About this project

Luckett and Farley recently finished work on a new sawmill for Brown Forman Corporation. The facility manufactures staves from American white oak that are used to assemble whiskey barrels. The design included interior and exterior debarking and milling operations, operations offices and maintenance facilities.

Equipment requirements had to be coordinated from nine separate suppliers including various saws (halving, quartering, etc.), debarkers, grinders, conveyers, dust collection equipment, and log sprinkler pumps. Site features include log unloading and storage weight scales, truck circulation roadways and a pond for log sprinkling operations.
