We have a saying here at Luckett & Farley: 'we deliver at the speed of x-cubed...with quality driving the deliverable.'

The term "Fast-Paced Project" doesn't raises eye-brows or serve as an excuse for mediocrity...we call this "normal." As was alluded in a previous post, Luckett & Farley utilizes technology to deliver infrastructure solutions to our clients. Pairing this concept with trusted design-build Contractors provides the leanest, quickest, efficient delivery approach to constructing buildings.

...the experienced Design Team and Contractor can, together, deliver at the speed and value of x-cubed.

You may have read the news about Luckett and Farley's recent separation from its design-build construction subsidiary in the last year or so. Since then, we've had the opportunity to meet a lot of other talented Contractors in our area, who each have impressive resumes and experience. Our relationships with great Contractors in this community are incredibly important to the project delivery equation--especially now, when we see the industry demanding that projects be delivered in a shortened time frame.

For those who may not be familiar with this delivery approach, Design Build Institute of America explains it best:

Design-build is a method of project delivery in which one entity - the design-build team - works under a single contract with the project owner to provide design and construction services. One entity, one contract, one unified flow of work from initial concept through completion. Design-build is also known as design/construct and single-source responsibility...

The advantages?:

Faster Delivery — collaborative project management means work is completed faster with fewer problems.

Cost Savings — an integrated team is geared toward efficiency and innovation.

Better Quality — design-builders meet performance needs, not minimum design requirements, often developing innovations to deliver a better project than initially imagined.

Singular Responsibility — one entity is held accountable for cost, schedule and performance.

Decreased Administrative Burden — owners can focus on the project rather than managing disparate contracts.

We're hopeful more Owners will see the value that the design-build approach offers---even more so when working with the experienced Design Team and Contractor who can, together, deliver at the speed and value of x-cubed.
